Life’s Little Pleasures

I’m at a place in my life that I can take the time to  really appreciate the things that make me feel good, warms my heart, or just makes me smile. These are life’s special pleasures and comforts that are all around us. Take a few minutes to find your very own pleasures. You will be amazed on how much happiness and peace it will bring you.

One of my favorite pleasures is drinking a good cup of coffee, while sitting outside in the early in the morning. Ideally it’s coffee made by my husband. It tastes so much better when he makes it. We sit there listening to the birds singing, and watch the squirrels running across the utility wires.

The grandchildren provides me with the most pleasure of all. I know why God gave them to us later in life, so we could enjoy them to the fullest.  I have six grandsons and two granddaughters. Their ages range from twenty to two years old. Each one has their own unique personalities and gifts.

I love chatting with family and friends. We reminise about the good old days or plan things we will be going in the future. Adding a nice glass of merlot makes it even more enjoyable.
